My USANA business is starting to get real exciting.  The company decided to launch it’s product line in Malaysia.  My sponsor Simon Chan is going to set up a team office in Kuala Lumpur.

I remember back when I was going to college in North Carolina.  I met some good friends from England.   I admired how they lived in the U.S. for a year and traveled around the whole country. Since then I always wanted to travel and see the world. But college was very expensive.  I had a lot of time but not a lot of money. Even when I got my first job, I finally had the money but no time.  So I had to put my travel plans on hold for awhile…for a very long time.

Finally, I have an opportunity to travel like I’ve always wanted.  Thanks to owning a USANA business, I was able to buy a plane ticket to Malaysia for an experience of a lifetime.  USANA keeps opening the doors of opportunity. I can’t remember the last time I was this excited about my life.

I am on a team in USANA called TEAM XLR8.  We have team members all over the world.  My plans are to grow a USANA Asia business as well as a North American business.  I have a team member named Danny Ng who lives in Tokyo, Japan.  I will plan a layover in Japan so I can spend some time with Danny.

I left from Los Angeles International airport.  It’s official, John has left the United States!!  My flight took 14 hours to Narita airport in Tokyo, Japan.  I stayed at a hotel outside Narita airport overnight so I could catch my connection to Malaysia the next afternoon.

Before they opened the hatch to the airport I was like “Oh my gosh, am I going to be able to survive in Asia! I am the alien now!!” But to my surprise, I wasn’t freaked out too much because the airport was americanized. All the signs were in English and Japanese. Most Japanese workers spoke English. So it was easy to find the bus to my hotel. The hotel room was the size of my college dorm! It was so small. I would soon find out later that nothing is made for a 6′ 2″ white man!!

Then the hotel room phone rang. It was Danny, my USANA teammate and friend from Tokyo. I was excited to meet him for dinner.  I ventured an hour outside my hotel to meet Danny halfway between downtown Tokyo and my hotel.  We met in a place called Funabashi. Danny is a super smart guy.  He knows six languages and works a full-time job in currencies.  Danny works hard at his USANA business so he can leave his stressful job by the end of the year.

Here is a picture of Danny and I outside a Japanese restaurant:
